No one really cares about what you’re doing. Everyone is too worried about themselves and their own lives to be so invested in yours. Use this as fuel to do whatever you want.
You need to have a side hustle. At all times. Never EVER solely rely on your 9-5 for income.
Stop spending your money on stupid shit. Start investing as early as you can. It’s not your fault you weren’t taught about personal finance but it is your fault if you continue to do nothing about it.
Your manager at work isn’t your friend..but you CAN and SHOULD make friends at work.
Gaining weight is incredibly easy. Losing it is hard. Nourish your body with healthy food as often as you can and always maintain a fitness regimen..but also give yourself grace and know that bodies fluctuate.
If you look around at the older women in your office and you wouldn’t want to trade places with a single one of of them - it’s time to make an exit plan.
Kill the fear you have of money (I’m still working on this one)
Make new friends often. Your boyfriend and his friends don’t count. Female friendship is incredibly important and make more of an effort to diversify your friend group.
Work LOUDLY. You know what’s worse than being cringe on LinkedIn? Not having any income. Talk about what your projects at work, share your thoughts on something happening in your industry, always stay visible. How can anyone know what you’re doing if you're not actively sharing about it?
Surround yourself with people who attack their goals and relentlessly achieve them.
What piece of advice would you give your 23 year old self?
Love these! Also, trust the process. What you do everyday will manifest into something great if you stay consistent! And also, enjoy where you are! You'll get where you want to be in time.
